Well, it’s October, and that means it’s Feature Release time. And by the time you are reading this, you probably have the October release delivered, and you are trying to digest all the great new content (oh, and do your day jobs too). So, what should you focus on?
Assumptions
I am going to assume that you have already done these activities, but if you haven’t, or if you need a reminder – here are some of the basics every Infor customer should know:
- You’ve watched the October Release Highlights sessions that were presented back in September.
- You’ve reviewed all the various release materials that are available to you and linked from the Concierge Release Center.
- You’ve checked out the NEW Infor Community pages dedicated to the October Release (very cool use of AI by the way).
- You’ve subscribed to and are following the Known Issues KB (because we all know software isn’t perfect).
- You’ve watched (and encouraged your colleagues to watch) the role-specific Release Trainings out on Infor U (Course Catalog, filter on Release Training, by Product, and search for 2026.10).
- And you’ve reviewed all the great content thus far out on the Innovation Insights webinar series! And downloaded the new, go-forward weekly webinar invite for 2026-2027!
Oh, and don’t forget, the great team here at RPI puts on our own set of overviews, by product area, on what you should know about each feature release! Links to those posts are below:
- FSM: Direct credit refunds, easier check reissues, and smoother period close
- SCM: One-step par transfers, regional PO visibility, and OIG supplier flags
- HCM: New payroll admin workspace, processing calendar, and faster position requests
- WFM: GenAI Assistant goes live, plus smarter scheduling and time-off approvals
- Tech: IPA-to-FTP transfers, report usage insights, and easier security reconciliation
Immediate Next Steps
OK Hans, I did all that, but what else might I be missing:
The WebApp Consolidation Toggles have all expired
No, really, this time they actually meant it! If you already had them switched on, then this was a non-event. If you didn’t have them switched on, or if you didn’t remember to do it in all your tenants, you probably have a busy week ahead of you (and your end-users are probably already screaming). If you are really in a pinch here, please contact your Infor CSE or the Support team, and there are ways that Infor can help you (temporarily) continue business operations. And if you really want to take advantage of Consolidated WebApps, Workspaces, and the new security features that go along with these changes, reach out to the RPI team (questions@rpic.com) and we can quickly get you to see value from these new changes!
The Maintenance Requests Toggle was supposed to expire, but it didn’t
What does that mean? It means that these delivered system and run-time purge jobs from the Landmark team that have been optional for the last 6 months were all going to start running and purging data automatically (yes, in your PRD tenant too)! But now the deadline was extended to October 2027. So, if you need to understand these purge jobs more, and want to get better prepared now that you have more time, go check out KB3655353 for all the details!
Other toggles that expired in 2026.10
There were a host of other toggles that expired in 2026.10, but those above were the biggies. You can find a complete list in the Release Highlights slide decks, and they were covered in the Innovation Insights session back on 8/26 (KB3702825).
Product decommission notices
There were also several product decommission notices that take effect in October, which may or may not apply to your organization. You can find them on the Announcements page in Concierge, or at the KB’s linked here:
- Deprecation of Template APIs for Infor Document Management
- Deprecation of the Related Information Widget (V1) in IDM
- Introduction of Load Limits in Data Fabric Stream Pipelines
- Need to convert Cognos Query Studio reports to Report Studio reports in WFM
- End of Support for Windows Mobile devices for on-premise MSCM customers

Go turn on the Infor GenAI Public Knowledge Hub!
New in October, this will give your organization GenAI access into the Infor delivered product documentation right within your CloudSuite application, so that users can search for things like “How do I setup a recurring journal entry” or any other how to question against the product documentation.
This is free for all MT customers – this does not require Velocity Suite, and it doesn’t require any order forms or license paperwork, but it does have to be manually enabled.
Get with your organization’s CSSP Administrator and have them follow the six easy steps which can be found towards the bottom of KB3548379. Or log a ticket with Support requesting access if you need any help.
And yes, you can absolutely control the end-user rollout of this functionality through delivered security.
Coolest New Features to dig into first
For HCM customers, go check out the Unified Experience
The Unified Experience is a set of major improvements to the Employee and Manager Self-Service UX. This is next-level stuff that was released back in July, with highly configurable pre-delivered workspaces that blend HRT, WFM, and other HCM application product functions together in one UX. It requires the Consolidated WebApps to be enabled, which is now the default for everyone.
This was covered on the Innovation Insights call on 7/22 – recording found on KB3696676.
What’s really cool in October is that you can pair this new Unified Experience with Infor’s new mobile app called “Infor Hub”, which will replace Infor Go. The HCM Unified Experience is the first set of capabilities that will be available, and will allow you to create totally unique experiences for your end users and managers, depending on whether they are logging in via the desktop or via a mobile device. And there is content for FSM in October as well.
You should be able to grab the Hub from the various app stores by the end of this week, but you will need to log a ticket with Support to get it enabled for your organization before you start to use it.
DrillAround is BACK!
For all of you former Lawson customers, there used to be a great feature built into the applications that allowed you to drill on any field within the system to see the corresponding transactions or data elements that make up that object or were related to that object, that same end-user “power” has been missing from CloudSuite since its introduction. Now, this feature is finally returning, with a more modern flair – and it’s available in October!
You can enable DrillAround by security role in Security Administration. Perform the following steps for each role that should have access:
- Open Security Administration.
- Locate the role that should be enabled.
- In the third column labeled Data, locate the last line item, DrillAround.
- Change DrillAround to Yes.
Repeat the change for each role your organization wants to enable. Infor is working on putting together a KB with more information that should be published shortly. In the meantime, you can always log a ticket with Support if you have any questions.
You can now export report definitions in GL Report Designer!
For all you financial report writing folks, the biggest gap with the GL Report Designer tool has been that you have to build a report in a TST/TRN tenant, test it out, and then you had to recreate it from scratch in the PRD tenant to start using it. Extra work for no added value – BOOO !!! Well, Jamie and Shelly have solved that problem with the October release, which provides huge time savings for report writers.
More info can be found here in their What’s New session presented back on 10/7 – recording posted on KB3710244.
Hey Hans, what about Infor Velocity Suite???
The October Release is full of great content for Velocity Suite customers, fulfilling Infor’s promise of providing compelling innovation and future investment for those who purchase this additional offering. There is really too much new content for me to include here (maybe that’s a focus for the next post!), but here are a few highlights:
- Hundreds of delivered Industry Agents for automating CloudSuite functions across all Infor products.
- The GenAI Assistant delivers natural-language chat functionality for accessing CloudSuite data, just like using ChatGPT or Claude.
- Private Knowledge Hub which allows customers to search their own internal documentation through the GenAI Assistant (augmenting the Infor documentation in the free Public Knowledge Hub offering above).
- Adding AI Summary support to Process Mining data analysis to simplify action items and next steps for customers.
- And so much more…
