Inside CloudSuite’s October 2026 CU: HCM Edition

Another day means another opportunity to dive deep into the details of Infor CloudSuite’s October 2026 Cumulative Update (CU).

Fourth stop on our CU journey is none other than Human Capital Management (HCM) and the enhancements touch just about every stage of someone’s time at your organization: the requisition that gets them hired, the benefits election that covers their family, the payroll calendar that pays them on time, the appraisal that decides compensation adjustments.

There’s a lot to check out, so let’s get into it.

Key HCM Updates from the October 2026 CU

Updates land across Global Human Resources, Talent, Benefits, Payroll, Performance, Absence, and more. Some are quality of life fixes recruiters will notice the first time they open a requisition. Others change how payroll and benefits teams handle dates, coverage, and compliance day to day.

GHR—Expanded Position Request Workflow:

Managers can now copy from an existing position, carrying over all its qualification details (competencies, skills, credentials, education, experience, working conditions), and submit a complete position request for approval in one pass.

This means HR teams no longer have to track down missing details after the fact. If a manager needs three new analyst positions that all look like the one already on their team, they can copy it and adjust rather than start from a blank form.

GHR, Talent—Expanded Data Obfuscation:

Data Obfuscation now covers more sensitive fields across Dependent, Employee, Employee Appraisal, Employee Bank Details, and Employee W-4 records. This addition is particularly relevant for healthcare and public sector employers handling sensitive workforce data at scale. The reason? It keeps integrations, testing, and analytics running against realistic data without exposing anything an organization would rather keep private.

Benefits—EOI Rules by Enrollment Event:

Evidence of Insurability rules can now be set for each benefit enrollment event or specific benefit groups, not only at the benefit plan or coverage level. This is a significant enhancement in flexibility for benefits teams that have to manage different EOI requirements across open enrollment, new hire, and qualifying life events.

Benefits—Spouse AD&D Termination by Age:

Spouse AD&D coverage can now terminate automatically based on age. Benefits teams no longer must manually track spouse ages and remember to pull coverage when someone ages out.

Payroll—Payroll Administrator Workspace:

A new role-based dashboard gives payroll administrators a home base for their daily tasks. Instead of jumping between screens to figure out what needs attention, the workspace presents the information in a centralized place that is easy to access.

Payroll—Payroll Processing Dates Calendar:

The payroll system now derives active work period, pay period, check date, and cycle from one central calendar. The calendar is now the trusted reference, replacing ad-hoc spreadsheets and side calculations that payroll teams often rely on.

Performance—Appraisals Follow the Employee After a Transfer:

When an employee has recently transferred, performance appraisals can now be automatically assigned to their previous manager instead of the new one, based on a configurable look-back period.

This is a great addition that keeps the appraisal with the manager who oversaw the employee’s performance during the period being reviewed, instead of a manager who may have inherited that employee recently. Overall, a great way to ensure performance is determined by the manager and employee who had the working relationship.

Talent Acquisition—Interview Evaluation Forms:

New interview evaluation forms give every interviewer a consistent way to submit feedback, and that feedback can be tracked across all interviewers on a requisition. Gone are the days of having to compare a one-line email from one interviewer against a detailed writeup from another.

Talent Acquisition—Redesigned Candidate and Requisition Lists:

Candidate and requisition list views in Talent were redesigned into a more compact layout, with the most relevant results grouped together. Recruiters scanning a busy requisition pipeline can now get to the candidate they’re searching for much quicker.

Absence—Improved Navigation:

Absence gets a new overlay panel (flyout) that matches the navigation style Infor rolled out across other HCM modules back in April, along with better visibility into running balances. It’s a small consistency win, but it means less relearning every time someone switches modules.

That covers the standouts. Below are a number of smaller HCM updates also worth knowing:

  • Qualifications—Credential Non-Compliance Notification: a tag now displays directly on the employee profile when a credential falls out of compliance.
  • Benefits—Coverage Options for Life and Disability: Employee Life, Dependent Life, and Disability Type plans can now offer Employee Only, Employee + Spouse, and Family coverage options.
  • Benefit/Security—New BenefitManager_ST Role: a new role gets the same visibility as BenefitAdministrator_ST, but restricted to inquiry-only access.
  • Employment Contracts—Expanded Text Variables: more text variables are now available for the Work Assignment, Compensation, and Employee/Candidate section types.
  • Learning & Development—Re-take Completed Activities: employees can now re-take a previously completed activity or development plan directly from the Catalog, or from their Past Activities and Past Development Plans lists.
  • Talent Acquisition—Simplified Create Requisition Form: the manager-facing Create Requisition form has been simplified.
  • Talent Acquisition—Clickable Employee Number on Candidate Records: an internal candidate’s record now includes a clickable employee number that opens a flyout of their employee profile.
  • Talent Acquisition—Allowances Flow into Action Forms: allowances defined during the offer process now flow automatically into Transfer, Promote, Add Assignment, and Rehire forms, and update the employee profile.
  • Transition Management—Auto-Save Completed Tasks as PDF: completed transition tasks now save automatically as a PDF, copied into Employee Documents on hire or rehire when the Recruiting Attachment Type is configured to do so.

Infor CloudSuite HCM October 2026 CU FAQ

What’s new for HCM in Infor CloudSuite’s October 2026 CU?

The October 2026 CU adds several updates across CloudSuite HCM, touching Global Human Resources, Talent, Benefits, Payroll, Performance, Absence, and Talent Acquisition. The biggest changes are a new Payroll Administrator Workspace, a centralized Payroll Processing Dates Calendar, and an expanded position request workflow that lets managers copy qualification details from existing positions.

How many HCM updates shipped in the October 2026 CU?

Infor’s October 2026 CU includes many updates to CloudSuite HCM, with the most significant spread across 11 different modules. Most are targeted improvements to a specific screen or workflow, like the redesigned Talent candidate lists or the new interview evaluation forms, rather than a single large new feature.

Does the October 2026 CU change how payroll teams manage processing dates?

Yes. A new Payroll Processing Dates Calendar now serves as the central source for active work period, pay period, check date, and cycle, so the system derives these dates from one calendar instead of teams maintaining their own reference. A new Payroll Administrator Workspace also gives payroll staff a role-based dashboard for daily tasks.

What changed for benefits administration in the October 2026 CU?

Benefits teams get three changes: Evidence of Insurability rules can now be set per enrollment event or benefit group instead of only at the plan level, Spouse AD&D coverage can terminate automatically based on age, and Employee Life, Dependent Life, and Disability Type plans gained Employee Only, Employee + Spouse, and Family coverage options.

Who should review the October 2026 HCM CU notes before it goes live?

HR administrators, payroll teams, benefits administrators, and recruiters all have something to check. Payroll should look at the new Workspace and Processing Dates Calendar, benefits administrators should review the EOI and coverage changes, and recruiters should test the redesigned candidate lists and new interview evaluation forms before they go live for the team.
