Breaking Down CloudSuite’s April 2026 CU: Tech Edition

We’re wrapping up our week of April 2026 Cumulative Update (CU) coverage with one final functional area: Tech.

If you’ve been following along, you’ve already seen what’s new across Workforce Management, Supply Chain, Finance, and Human Capital Management.

Each post has aimed to make clear the updates most likely to matter to your organization, so you can make informed decisions without having to dig through the release notes yourself.

Let’s get into it.

Key Tech Updates from the 2026 April CU

The biggest tech changes relate to Infor Process Automation (IPA), and there’s quite a bit worth knowing about.

Native Data Lake Compass Query Support:

The IPA Data Iterator node now integrates direct support for Compass queries, allowing organizations to streamline data retrieval from Data Lake tables without additional workarounds. Previously, pulling data from the Data Lake within an automated flow required extra steps or custom configuration.

This enhancement simplifies that process, reducing the technical lift on your team and making it easier to build efficient, data-driven automations that leverage the full value of your Data Lake investment.

JavaScript CSV Parsing in IPA:

JavaScript functions for CSV parsing are now available in IPA, giving organizations greater control over data manipulation for more detailed and flexible reporting needs.

CSV files remain one of the most common formats for data exchange between systems, and the ability to parse and manipulate them natively within IPA opens the door to more sophisticated integrations and automations—without relying on external tools or manual intervention.

Pause & Resume for Active Work Units:

Actively running work units can now be paused and resumed at various points within their execution lifecycle. Pause behavior is determined by the current execution stage and whether the flow is configured for automatic restart, with full documentation available to help teams leverage this effectively.

For organizations running complex, long-running automations, this is a meaningful quality-of-life improvement. Rather than canceling and restarting a flow when an issue arises or a manual review is needed mid-process, teams can now pause execution, address the situation, and pick up right where they left off—reducing errors and saving time.

OAuth2 Authentication in the IPA Web Run Node:

OAuth2 authentication is now built into the Web Run node, enabling flows to connect to third-party web servers securely via OAuth2. As more organizations rely on external APIs and cloud-based services, secure authentication is a non-negotiable requirement.

Gone are the days of custom workarounds to handle OAuth2 handshakes. This update makes building secure, compliant integrations with modern web services straightforward and directly within IPA flows.

Approver Action History:

Approvers can now view a history of items they have approved directly from the Actions page, improving transparency and auditability. In environments where compliance and accountability matter—healthcare, public sector, financial services, having a clear, accessible record of approval activity is essential.

Better visibility into approval actions makes it easier to respond to audits, resolve disputes, and maintain confidence in your workflow processes.

Sharable Saved Searches on List Views:

Saved searches on List Views can now be shared with other users, reducing duplicate effort and promoting consistency across teams.

When one user builds a well-configured search, there’s rarely a good reason their colleagues should have to recreate it from scratch. Sharing those configurations broadly standardizes how teams query and view data and frees up time that would otherwise be spent on repetitive setup.

Tech April CU 2026 FAQ

1. What is the most significant tech change in the CloudSuite April 2026 CU?

The bulk of the April 2026 tech updates are concentrated in Infor Process Automation (IPA). Key additions include native Data Lake Compass query support, JavaScript CSV parsing, OAuth2 authentication in the Web Run node, and Pause & Resume functionality for active work units. Together these updates expand what organizations can do with IPA without relying on custom configurations or external tools.

2. How does OAuth2 authentication support in the IPA Web Run node change integration development?

Prior to this update, connecting IPA flows to third-party services requiring OAuth2 authentication involved custom workarounds. The April 2026 CU builds OAuth2 support directly into the Web Run node, allowing developers to establish secure connections to external APIs and cloud-based services natively within IPA. This means less development time and the elimination of a common source of integration complexity.

3. What is the Pause & Resume feature for IPA work units, and when would an organization use it?

The Pause & Resume feature allows actively running IPA work units to be paused at various points in their execution lifecycle and resumed once the situation is resolved. This is particularly useful for long-running automations that encounter an issue or require a mid-process manual review—eliminating the need to cancel and fully restart a flow, which can introduce errors and add time to otherwise automated processes.
