Infor continues to prioritize customer needs, as recently demonstrated at the 2025 Infor Services Connect conference in Dallas, Texas.
The annual showing once again unveiled key developments made to the cloud-based ERP and allowed for meaningful collaboration between partners and customers. With an active ear to the community, Infor highlighted several important initiatives—some already available, and others on the horizon.
For organizations still on legacy Lawson, now is an ideal time to consider migrating to the latest technology. With new capabilities like RPA for accounts payable, GenAI for streamlining manual tasks, and industry-specific solutions for delivering stronger services, it’s an exciting time to be a CloudSuite customer.
If you weren’t able to attend the event to hear about these developments first-hand, we’ve got you covered with our top five takeaways from Infor Connect 2025 below.
Finding 1: Innovating Business Processes
Infor recently announced the Velocity Suite, a set of tools and processes designed to help organizations streamline operations, eliminate manual work, and improve visibility into performance. Infor Velocity brings together AI, automation, and pre-built solutions to help organizations close the “value void” that often surfaces after going live on a new system.
The 2025 Infor Connect conference took a closer look at the three components of the Velocity Suite, as well as how organizations can begin using the solutions today.
- Process Mining: First showcased at the 2024 Infor Connect conference, Process Mining helps organizations visualize and understand what’s actually happening within their operations. The tool identifies and diagnoses inefficiencies by analyzing both core processes and smaller workflow steps. By comparing performance against industry benchmarks, Process Mining pinpoints areas where things aren’t running as smoothly or efficiently as they could be.
- Infor’s Value+: To help address inefficiencies uncovered through Process Mining, Infor offers Value+, a library of ready-to-deploy solutions designed to automate fixes, eliminate repetitive tasks, and accelerate workflows. With tools like machine learning and RPA, businesses can implement pre-built solutions or tailor their own to solve common operational challenges.
- Infor GenAI: And finally, to scale these solutions long term, organizations can leverage Infor GenAI to optimize processes. The GenAI module is embedded directly into workflows to help summarize insights, write documents, translate languages, and offer smart suggestions.

The Velocity Suite is available right now to Infor CloudSuite users. But that’s not the only innovative solution Infor showcased during Connect.
Infor also demonstrated key functionality within its advanced Backend As a Service (BaaS) tool during the Tech Day portion of Connect. With an additional license, technical teams and developers can create their own APIs for more complicated integrations. From manipulating data and queries to building complex connections, these custom APIs can do just about whatever you want to do within the CloudSuite environment.

Finding 2: Advanced Reporting Functionality
Improved reporting functionality has been a top priority of community users for some time, as evidenced by our most recent State of the Infor Community Survey results.
At the Connect conference, Infor demonstrated that it is indeed listening to the requests of services industry organizations and has made substantial improvements to its standard reporting capabilities in what they’re calling the “Data Warehouse.”
Going forward, newly provisioned Infor CloudSuite tenants will have access to the Data Warehouse, built on Amazon Aurora. The cloud-native database supports real-time queries through efficient replica databases, without putting load on the production system. In addition, the warehouse provides structure to previously unstructured data, giving organizations more control over their business intelligence. Existing tenants will migrate from SQL Server to Aurora through 2027.
Early benchmarks show nearly 50% faster performance, reduced memory usage, and support for streaming and columnar data—all aimed at delivering faster, more responsive access to reporting.
Finding 3: Simplifying User Interfaces
Large conferences like Connect are a great way to showcase what’s ahead on the product roadmap and specifically how those new changes will impact users. At Infor Connect 2025, the cloud-based ERP provider made it clear that it is looking to enhance the experience for back-office system administrators and other technical users.
Some notable additions highlighted include consolidating web applications to reduce the number of navigational clicks. For example, role-specific users will be able to view Workforce Management (WFM) scheduling details as well as Human Resources Talent benefits, compensation, and other employee data, without having to swap applications.
Previously, users would have to go through a series of application changes to view this information and now users can quickly access details most important to them. By simplifying the interface, Infor is creating a more enjoyable, and efficient user experience.
These enhancements reduce friction for users and help ensure critical information is just a click or two away.
Finding 4: Enhancing the Front-Line Employee Experience
Infor continues to focus on delivering a more intuitive and engaging experience—not just for back-office users, but also for front-line employees in the services industries. At Connect, Infor introduced a new feature aimed at boosting front-line engagement: “auto-nudges.”
The concept is straightforward. Auto-nudges reward employees for consistently meeting expectations and provide guidance when performance slips. For example, clinical staff who clock in on time 30 days in a row might earn a recognition badge that appears on a public leaderboard for colleagues and managers to see.
On the flipside, employees who miss key tasks receive personalized suggestions to help them improve. It’s a light-touch, behavior-based approach designed to support accountability.
The broader idea is to recognize good work, encourage consistent performance, and make employees feel seen. By gamifying everyday responsibilities, Infor is helping organizations create a more engaged workforce—one that’s better equipped to deliver strong outcomes for customers, patients, and constituents.
Finding 5: Driving Cloud Excellence
At RPI, we view moving to the cloud as the start of a more connected, adaptable ERP journey—one that keeps evolving long after go-live. Infor reinforced that idea at Connect with its focus on “cloud excellence,” helping organizations continuously build on their cloud investment.
During the keynote session, Infor took the opportunity to remind users of key resources available to support that ongoing progress, including recent improvements to both the Infor Marketplace and the Global Community Platform.
The Marketplace allows customers and partners to share and access custom-built solutions that extend Infor’s capabilities—from IPA and Birst to RPA, AI, and more. It’s designed to make integrations easier and help organizations solve problems faster by tapping into shared innovation.
Infor also spotlighted its refreshed Global Community site. Now running on a new platform, it features better navigation, new categories for technical topics and industries, peer-driven Q&A, and a hub for upcoming user group events and activities.
By continuing to invest in these collaborative spaces, Infor is reinforcing a partner-first, community-driven approach. The tools are there, and they’re making it easier for organizations to not just adopt cloud technology, but thrive with it.
