Creating Bookmarks in Infor CloudSuite FSM

In this how-to, RPI Principal Consultant Stephanie Marquez walks you through how to create and manage bookmarks in Infor CloudSuite FSM, allowing you to reduce unnecessary clicks and navigate more efficiently throughout your day.

Whether you’re a buyer checking unapproved purchase orders, a contracts manager tracking active agreements, or any other user who returns to the same areas of the system regularly, bookmarks let you get there in one step.

To create a bookmark, navigate to the list view or area you want to save. Select the Infor FSM caret and choose “Bookmark This Page.” The system will automatically generate a name, which you can customize to something more meaningful — then save.

Once saved, you can validate the bookmark by switching roles and confirming it navigates correctly. From the Manage Bookmarks menu, you can edit, copy, or delete individual bookmarks, and organize them into folders. Folders are ideal if you work across multiple roles or modules and want your bookmarks grouped by function. Adding a folder is as simple as selecting the ellipses and choosing “Add Folder.”

Bookmarks are one of those small productivity wins that tend to get covered during implementation but are easy to overlook in practice. The more time you spend in FSM, the more value they add, making navigation easier and your overall process more efficient.

Hi everyone, my name is Stephanie Marquez, Principal Supply Chain Consultant here at RPI Consultants. Today we’re going to be showing you how to create a bookmark within your Infor CloudSuite FSM application. For the purpose of today’s video, we’re going to be working out of our purchasing role. Go ahead and select your application switcher, scroll down until you reach Purchasing, and make that selection.

I encourage you to think about what areas within the system you spend a lot of time navigating back and forth to or monitoring on a regular basis — that’s where a bookmark is going to be helpful. It reduces the number of clicks you make throughout the day. As a buyer, I’m probably monitoring my unapproved purchase orders on a regular basis, so I’m going to go ahead and select that unapproved list view.

Now in our training environment we don’t have any data loaded, but that won’t inhibit us from creating the bookmark. Once you locate the list view or area within the system that you want to bookmark, go up to the Infor FSM header, select the caret, and choose Bookmark This Page. A pop-up will appear and automatically name the bookmark for you. You can change this to something more meaningful — I’m going to call mine “Unapproved POs” — then hit Save.

I encourage you to validate your bookmark after saving. Switch to another role within the system, then go up to your navigation menu and select Unapproved POs. It takes you right to that list view.

Something else that’s helpful is managing your bookmarks. Here you can see I have a couple of areas already saved — a folder called Buyer Bookmarks, and the one we just created. Depending on how many areas of the system you work out of on a daily basis, it may be helpful to create bookmark folders and have them all nested together. Select Manage Bookmarks, and once you highlight a bookmark, you have options to edit, copy to clipboard, or delete it. I’m going to edit this one to move it into my Buyer Bookmarks folder — select Edit, choose the folder, and save.

The bookmark is now nested under the Buyer Bookmarks folder. Creating a folder is just as straightforward. From Manage Bookmarks, select the ellipsis and choose Add Folder. I’m going to create one called “Contract Management Bookmarks” and save it. You can now see multiple folders within the bookmark area, each of which can collapse and expand within this section of the application.

I hope that was helpful. It’s typically one of those things we cover with our clients during the implementation process but can get forgotten since it’s not something you’re doing every day. If you have any questions or if we can be of further assistance, please reach out to us at questions@rpic.com and we will forward your question to the appropriate person. Thanks so much for your time, and we look forward to additional how-to videos.
