5 Takeaways from Infor Velocity Days & TechX 2025

Infor Velocity 2025

The team at RPI Consultants recently had the pleasure of attending the Infor Velocity Days and TechX events in Orlando, Florida this past October.

It was a great opportunity to hear all about Infor’s latest enhancements and upcoming features that are shaping the next phase of CloudSuite. As we inch closer to the end of 2025, we thought it best to recap the major highlights from the events so that you can begin incorporating these developments into your plans for 2026.

In this post, we highlight five major themes from the Infor Velocity and TechX events, discuss why they’re important, and how you can begin weaving these changes into your business. Let’s get into it.

Takeaway 1: AI Agents Are Moving from Concept to Action

As one might expect from a technology event, AI was front and center at Infor Velocity and TechX 2025, particularly the Infor AI agents. These intelligent assistants within CloudSuite are being trained to answer business questions and automate workflows.

The success of these AI agents relies on clearly defined and structured data models. That means organizations must build and train their data sets before expecting AI to deliver meaningful value.

For example, to ask “Which invoices are overdue?” CloudSuite’s AI assistant would first need to understand what constitutes an invoice, what “overdue” means, and which dataset to pull from.

The takeaway? While there’s a ton of potential for AI to deliver insight and greater visibility, it’s not plug-and-play. Success requires deliberate groundwork such as securing, structuring, and teaching the system how to respond.

For CloudSuite customers, now is the time to build that foundation and be ready to take advantage of Infor Velocity’s expanding AI capabilities.

Takeaway 2: Mongoose, RPA, & Process Mining Easier to Adopt

Infor continues to refine its core technologies to make innovation more accessible. And a major theme at Infor Velocity 2025 and TechX was accessibility, that is, making advanced tools easier to adopt across all industries.

Mongoose and Velocity Suite applications Process Mining and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) have all seen major usability improvements since last year. Some key developments showcased at the events include:

  • Mongoose now allows developers to quickly build small, real-time applications that display actionable data within Infor OS workspaces. For example, showing all invoices due today or tracking open requisitions.
  • RPA is expanding beyond invoice automation into broader process automation, such as pulling reports from external vendor sites or moving files between systems automatically.
  • Process Mining remains a valuable tool for identifying performance bottlenecks and subsequently making recommendations on how to improve system usage.

These enhancements mean two things. The first is that organizations should face fewer barriers to exploring these tools now that usability has been prioritized. The second is that businesses can begin adopting new Infor technologies gradually and on their own timetable.

Takeaway 3: Data Lake Security Unlocks New Use Cases

Application usability wasn’t the only area to see increased adoption. Another highlight from Infor Velocity Days was the evolution of Infor’s Data Fabric, the technology stack that powers all of its reporting and analytics tools.

The Data Fabric encompasses the Data Lake, Data Catalog, security framework, data models, and supporting components that make enterprise intelligence possible.

Within that stack, Infor introduced updates regarding data-level security. Previously, administrators could only control access at a system level, but now they can set permissions at the object or record level.

This change opens up new opportunities for reporting and analytics. Since AI agents depend on the Data Lake for real-time information, these finer security controls ensure insights and results align with user permissions.

With these enhancements, businesses should be able to more easily take advantage of the Infor Data Fabric.

Takeaway 4: CloudSuite Personalization Continues

As identified in last year’s Velocity Summit recap, personalization was a major theme. And this year Infor doubled down on it.

The Velocity Days and TechX 2025 events appealed to a broad spectrum of CloudSuite users, spanning healthcare, manufacturing, and public sector verticals, among others. This cross-industry focus proved invaluable, as keynote sessions outlined Infor’s continued goal to prioritize functionality that supports diverse industry needs.

For businesses, that means more industry-specific applications are on the way.

In line with this focus, Infor showcased several personalization enhancements that make CloudSuite more intuitive and user-driven. Updates to the Notification Center and Health Service in Infor OS, for example, continue to streamline how teams interact with system alerts, consolidating notifications into one place and surfacing only what’s most relevant to user roles.

IT and system admins can also now subscribe to more granular application-level events, like job or workflow failures, for faster resolution and proactive management.

Infor is also expanding personalization through embedded GenAI features. Service organizations using Infor FSM, for instance, can now use GenAI to create tailored instructions for purchase order receipts or automatically generate descriptive text for requisitions and receipts.

Altogether, these updates reinforce Infor’s commitment to personalization and industry focus–two pillars of the Infor Velocity initiative that continue to shape how organizations deploy CloudSuite.

Takeaway 5: Community & Collaboration Are Driving Product Innovation

One of the most inspiring themes from Infor Velocity Days and TechX was the power of community. These events highlight how Infor’s roadmap is being shaped by the organizations using its products every day.

Infor continues to engage customers and partners directly, inviting them to share real-world use cases and feedback that influence product direction. Many of Infor’s newest innovations, particularly in AI and automation, are still in early stages, and early adopters play a critical role in refining them.

That spirit of collaboration is the essence of these events. And the more customers, partners, and developers participate in shaping these technologies, the faster they evolve and the more value everyone gains from them.

Embracing Velocity Days & TechX Findings

For organizations already live on CloudSuite, this year’s events reinforced that go-live is just the starting line. Once the foundation is in place, the real opportunity lies in adopting the emerging technologies.

At the same time, Infor Velocity Days and TechX serve as both a showcase and a motivator. For current CloudSuite users, they highlight what’s newly available and how to make the most of existing investments.

And for those still operating on Lawson or legacy environments, they offer a clear picture of what’s waiting in the cloud, including smarter automation, stronger data security, and a more connected user experience.

Whether you were able to attend Infor Velocity Days and TechX 2025 or not, we hope these takeaways help you start planning for the year ahead.
