Creating Perceptive Content (ImageNow) Custom Properties

Watch this demo to learn how to create, manage, and use Perceptive Content (ImageNow) Custom Properties on Document Types.

Transcript

Today we’ll review how to add custom properties to document types. Log into your management console and select document types in the left-hand pane. I’m going to just create a new doc type. Open it up. Select the custom properties tab. Here you see all of the available custom properties. You can also sort these custom properties by the custom property type. If you have a long list of custom properties and you want to easily narrow it down, that’s a good way to do that.

All you have to do to add custom properties to the document type is just double click or you can select it and click add. To make a custom property required on the document, which means it always has to be populated, all you have to do is just click on that left side. That will make the custom property required.

Of course, you can easily move the custom properties up and down if you want to sort them a certain way or if you have several different custom properties and you want to quickly organize them alphabetically, click the name tag and it will sort those alphabetically. Of course, to remove a custom property, just select and remove. That’s all we have for adding custom properties to doc types. Thank you for watching.
