Michael Grace:

Welcome to the Tech Pro Unicorn Podcast brought to you by RPI consultants, a podcast about the magic of digital transformation through technology. Each week, we’ll cover topics related to ERP, RPA, business transformation, leadership, healthcare, and unicorns.

Michael Grace:

I appreciate the opportunity to be here. And I’m really excited about being joined by our special guest, Mr. Mark Weber. And with that, I’m going to let Mark introduce himself.

Mark Weber:

Yeah, welcome, everybody. Thanks for joining us today. My name Mark Weber. I’m SVP here and for healthcare. I’ve been at Infor for about six years before that I was at a large academic medical center where it was a user of what was then Lawson, long background in IT and very excited to be here today with Michael to be able to talk to you about a lot that we have going on in the enforcement.

Michael Grace:

Awesome. Thanks, Mark for joining us. My name is Michael Grace. I’m a director here in our practice, out on the west coast in our Phoenix office. And similar to Mark, I have a large background in the client side of healthcare, variety of academic medical centers and children’s hospitals, mostly healthcare for about 20 to 25 years in pore space. So today, Mar and I were thinking about rather than running you through all the features and functionality of cloud suite, we thought today, we would just answer some of the most pressing questions that we often get when we’re out talking to Info healthcare customers.

Michael Grace:

And a lot of that is really, we get asked our agenda question. So we’re going to kind of do this tech per unicorn podcast style. And much like the political debates, I’m going to moderate and Mark gets to be the only candidate so he doesn’t have to compete against himself unless he wish to talk over himself. But we’re going to go ahead, and we’re going to try to answer some of the most pressing questions that we get often from our healthcare customers. And those are, how are we lowering the costs around moving to multi-tenant, we’re acutely aware that that is more costly than traditional, traditional upgrades, we’ll talk about why we don’t think an RFP is necessary.

Michael Grace:

We’ll talk about what the benefits are as going to Infor cloud suite versus a competing product. And then we’ll share a little bit honestly around what we believe some of the great benefits you can get around cloud suite are that might inspire you to perhaps move sooner rather than later. So with that, we’re going to go ahead and get started. We’ll start with our first question. And just a reminder to look for some of the tech for unicorn articles that will be embedded as we move through this. When we really get the first question always comes wow, it’s Wow, that’s a bigger number than I thought.

Michael Grace:

And we take a note of that, I think Mark, I think Infor has really done a good job of addressing it and really focusing on how do we take that cost and make it more economical, reduce the risk and in some cases even reduce the effort? Could you share a little bit about what Infor is doing to help the customers out?

Mark Weber:

Yeah, happy to Michael, and this is an area that we at Infor have been focusing on a lot and a lot of R&D dollars have been going on to addressing exactly these questions. Because as Infor we have an enormously large install base within provider health care. We are by far the number one vendor within this space. So, it is within our interest to make sure that we’re providing a path for our clients to move to multi-tenant cloud at, safely, effectively, at a low cost and be able to achieve, very high value and very short time to value.

Mark Weber:

And so the things that we’ve been really focused on are taking the years of experience that we have within provider health care, and to bring that to this space to come up with a sort of pre-configured environment, a pre developed install that will allow us to leverage then have an install that brings you there more quickly to leverage a lot of what we call implementation accelerators that give you the ability to take all the data and capabilities that you have today and move you into that environment in a more automated fashion. And to really allow you then by doing so, not only do we get you there more quickly, we can streamline the training, we can streamline the testing, we can streamline all the areas that typically go into an implementation in a way that makes it much more repeatable and for you, then that means it makes it much lower risk and much more effective, and, of course, shrinks the overall time, which lowers the overall cost.

Mark Weber:

What Michael is showing here is what it means when you go into Infor cloud suite healthcare. Number one, what it means is that we’re designed for healthcare, so you’re getting all the deep healthcare specific functionality that we’ve developed over years of working in the provider health care space, that means functionality around say recall management, which is, as you probably can imagine, a much different thing in provider healthcare than it is in industries like, say retail. It means those best practices are built in. So we have a lot of experience in terms of how to do the core business processes within healthcare, and how to do that in the most efficient way. And we’ve built that into these implementation accelerators, and into the multi-tenant journey.

Mark Weber:

And then that set of prepackaged workflows, content, integrations, analytics, all there available for you. We find that with multi-tenant given the fact that you can now get a lot of your information on the screen, versus doing things like running the traditional reports, by having those pre canned scr
